Equity Strategist of the Danish global investment bank, Saxo Bank has arrived to Budapest for a press conference. Peter Garnry spoke about the Q4 economic outlook of Saxo Bank on 31st of October.
After the short presentation, Garnry answered the Hungarian journalists’ questions, which were mostly about the Hungarian economy.
A Hungarian economic radio and a political-economic daily has published interview with Garnry.
“ATON”-project is finished

Two years after the launch, “Institute for Soil Sciences and Agricultural Chemistry, Centre for Agricultural Research, Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA ATK TAKI)” finished its project, called ATON. The press event about it – as 2 years ago the launch event – was organized again by Comprad. The online learned journal about sciences of soil and agricultural chemistry, Agro Chemistry and Soil Science Online (ATON) has registered about 45 000 downloads during the past 2 years.
The professional event with some experts’ short speeches was organized at the building of Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
Soil-degradation informatics system has been ready

Our kindly previous client, “Institute for Soil Sciences and Agricultural Chemistry, Centre for Agricultural Research, Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA ATK TAKI)” has prepared the soil-degradation informatics system to follow-up the condition of soil. The professional event has been organized at one of the biggest Hungarian agricultural university, in Gödöllő on 19th of October.
Many of researchers and experts – Rector of the university, leader of the project, deputy undersecretary of the Ministry of Rural Development and so on – held presentations about the maintainable agriculture and the project itself.
Reduce the VAT rate below 10% on basic food products!

The aim of the “Forum for the VAT reduction of Basic Food Products” is to reduce the VAT rate below 10% on basic food products. The organization founded by Bunge and the Hungarian Bonafarm-group in May 2012. The members include representatives from the Dairy, Bakery and Milling, Poultry, Edible Oil, Meat, Fruits and Vegetables, Coffee and Sugar sectors in Hungary. The group is working for eliminating VAT fraud in the basic food sector and is committed to find solutions working with the Hungarian government.
Forum commissioned Ernst&Young to prepare a study which can strengthen the reduction budget neutral elimination. Forum launched this study at a press event on the 26th September. A lot of journalists from economic and public media – print, online, television, news agency as well – took part in the event, and more than 120 articles were published after the event.
Saxo Bank communicates with Comprad

Comprad has won the PR-communication tender of Saxo Bank in Hungary. The Danish global investment bank has laid a charge on Comprad to manage its press PR works in Hungary from 1st of March. Comprad main tasks to build the relationship with economic media, and communicate analyses of Saxo.
Saxo is not the first client of Comprad from the financial sector: the agency was the main PR partner of MKB Bank for 7 years, and also worked with MKB-Euroleasing and PBA Praeventio.

New trends, future and new printer series - these were the main topics on press event of Hewlett-Packard Hungary (HP) held on 30th, November at banquet-hall of Hotel Boscolo’s New York Cafe, Budapest. Gábor Miskei, Deputy CEO of HP and Head of Imaging and Printing Group, Dávid Bokrossy Head of Laserjet and Enterprise Solutions, and Viktor Novák Head of Inkjet and Web Solutions held a short speech about the innovative, new products and solutions of HP and the new trends across prism of HP. After the lunch, 18 journalists from 15 media (IT, business-economic, specialized) took part at hands-on presentation of products and had a talk with HP’s leaders.
Successful event with a lot of participants

The online learned journal (called ATON) about soil and agricultural chemistry was presented yesterday in Debrecen as the last stop of the science road-show organized by Comprad. The Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Research Institute for Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry (MTA TAKI) has been issued a print journal in the last 6 decades; the new online journal – started in March – enable everybody to read it anywhere in the world.
A record number of 82 attendees participated at the event in the University of Debrecen on 27th September. The audience enjoyed very interesting and useful presentations of Sándor Koós, project manager of ATON, György Várallyay, Prof. PhD, Editor-in-Chief of ATON and the print journal, Katalin Bánkeszi, brevet director of Szechenyi National Library and Zoltán Mazula, developer of the home page.
After the event we issued a press release and settled two advertorials in a regional and a learned journal.
Child safety Conference

Child safety at the lake, in a playground or at home became an important issue before summer – sent words Child Safety Conference organized by National Child Health Institute on 15th of June in Gödöllő organized for Hungarian pediatricians and medical workers. This event was the satellite program of the 3rd European Safety Conference.
As a part of the conference there was a media panel discussion with the participation of three journalists represented print, online media, television and three professionals of medical sector. The reporter of the event was a famous genuine journalist from Hungarian Television.
This section has been followed by a spectacular performance in a pool about dangerous situations where a dipper and a lot of children have been attended. President of the Organizing Committee, Gabriella Páll MD MSc has talked about the main messages of the conference for some Hungarian television channels and radio stations.
Ink cartridge workshop by HP

About working of cartridges, and quality of printing media (paper) was held a presentation – with practical performances – by Thom Brown, Ink & Media Expert of Hewlett-Packard (HP) on 8th of June in Budapest.
Brown – who held a presentation for Hungarian IT journalists and bloggers – talked about working of printers and cartridges, or choice of appropriate media, in Gellért Hotel. Brown highlighted: original cartridges have no alternatives, because refilled cartridges and remans sooner or later go wrong. The expert demonstrated his arguments with spectacular experiments (with e.g. syrups, sponges and old empty cartridges).
Thom’s presentation for journalists in morning has been followed by a workshop for managers and HP’s partners in afternoon.

The online learned journal about sciences of soil and agricultural chemistry has been presented in two countryside university, in Mosonmagyaróvár and Gödöllő.
After the opening speech held by Sándor Koós project manager of “ATON”, György Várallyay PhD. Prof. (Editor-In-Chief of “ATON” and the print journal) introduced the online journal, and talked about history of the last 6 decades of the print magazine. Then some professionals held presentations about “ATON”.
Attendees – like deans, teachers, students and researchers – consider the conferences extremely useful.
Our tasks were the complete organization of these events (choosing the venues, caterings’ order, holding connection with media, preparing press releases and PR articles published in regional or local media).
Visegrádi appeared in social media

Visegrádi Ásványvíz – a Hungarian mineral water brand, seeded client of Comprad – appeared in social media, as the managers of the firm would like to get closer conncections with theirs consumers. Visegrádi started to communicate on Facebook, Twitter and a YouTube channels, all of them are updated regularly.
Visegrádi is one of those two “aqua” brands - out of 40 Hungarian mineral water producers - having social media profiles on the Internet.

"Mineral water bottler Visegrádi Ásványvíz can use the trademark of SGS Fresenius on its products, for the first time in Hungary, after successfully passing a quality audit carried out by the company, which is the global leader in the certification of mineral waters.
The use of the trademark poses market advantage when exporting to neighbouring countries, managing director Dénes Eőry said.
Last year, Visegrádi Asványvíz increased its market share, despite the mineral water market as a whole suffering declining sales." – published by “Hungary Around the Clock”.
Our client, Visegrádi Ásványvíz organized a press conference on 25/11/2010 to present the details of the cooperation between SGS Fresenius and Visegrádi Ásványvíz. SGS Fresenius will make 300 different audits per year on the products.
The whole organization and press office tasks were done by Comprad.
New Biz in November

Comprad is managing the Hungarian launch and Christmas campaign of eBay International Market (eIM). The agency – as an affiliate partner of Edelman – is managing the social network communication on Facebook (under the profile “Jóljár Jolán”) and doing the related media actions.
Comprad organized the project-launch event and related press office for the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Research Institute for Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry. The event held in the Hungarian Academy of Sciences focused on the new online journal of the institute. Comprad won this project on a tender.
One of the biggest Hungarian mineral water company, Visegrádi gave an assignment for Comprad to prepare and manage the whole PR- and marketing communication tasks of the brand including CSR- and sponsorship tactics, media relations, advertising campaigns, events. Visegrádi assigned Comprad directly.

The online learned journal about sciences of soil and agricultural chemistry was presented in the building of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA). At the project-launch event held on 9th of November – the staff of Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Research Institute for Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry (TAKI) introduced the Agro Chemistry and Soil Science Online (called “ATON”).
After the opening speech held by Tamás Németh PhD. the Secretary General of MTA, Attila Anton PhD. the Director of TAKI and Marianna Magyar PhD. the manager of the project introduced the online journal. Then Kornél Tóth, representative of the webpage developer MTA SZTAKI – Monguz Ltd. spoke about the technical background of the site. György Várallyay Phd. Prof., Editor-In-Chief of “ATON” and the print journal, talked about the last 6 decades of the print magazine.
The site going live at the beginning of December, will contain all the issues of the print magazine and it will be updated two times a year.
The project-launch press event was organized by Comprad.
Forget barriers – new HP product announcements

The latest innovation, ePrint technology, new printers and portable computers were announced at the 2nd HP Press Day on the 6th of October. The event held in Spoon boat restaurant in Budapest – was opened by the speech of Gábor Miskei, Head of Imaging and Printing Group (IPG), about new trends of the printer-market. After that Kristóf Takáts, Head of Personal Systems Group (PSG) presented the division’s latest results: HP is the absolute market leader on the Hungarian PC and portable computer market.
János Mayer and Zoltán Perjési announced HP’s latest innovation, called ePrint and they presented new inkjet printers. With ePrint technology users can forget their boundaries, so they don’t depend on any place- and time-barrier as well – said the professionals. Then, Zoltán Imre, product manager introduced new laser printers. New net- and notebooks were presented by Péter Vig, technology consultant of HP.
Four ePrint-capable Photosmart inkjet photo printers, four inkjet Officejet products and six Laserjets were announced by IPG and eight net- and notebooks by PSG. All products announced could be tested at the hands-on after lunch.
32 journalists took part at the event from online and print IT media, daily and weekly economic and lifestyle-magazines. The event has been generating abut 40 coverage including articles and blogposts.
